十二月，法總僧團應港、馬、澳洲之邀，舉行法會講演。
In December, a delegation of DRBA Sangha members held
a Dharma Assembly and gave talks
in Hong Kong, Malaysia,and Australia.

七月，法總僧團應邀赴臺舉行華嚴法會。
In July, a delegation of DRBA Sangha members, upon invitation,
traveled to Taiwan to host an Avatamsaka Dharma Assembly.

十一月，首次舉行「親」字輩剃度儀式。
In November, the first ceremony for
a new generation entering monastic life took place at the City.
These became the first novices to receive the name "Chin" (Drawing Near).

上人講述的《法華經淺釋》英譯本圓滿出版。
The English edition of A General Explanation of the Dharma Flower Sutra
by the Master was published in its entirety.

八月，傳授第九屆三壇大戒。
In August, the ninth Threefold Ordination Ceremony was held at the City.

七月，慶祝萬佛聖城成立二十五週年。
The City celebrates the 25th anniversary of its founding in July.
