師父上人、各位法師、各位老師及各位善知識：阿彌陀佛！
我是萬佛城育良小學四年級的學生劉親智，法名果智。我今晚要講的題目是「我快樂嗎？」
我快樂嗎？我很快樂，但是我的快樂不是平常的小快樂，如玩遊戲、看電視、吃好東西，這些都不是真正的快樂，真正的快樂是從心裏所生出來的快樂。
我快樂是因為：
1.我生為人。
2.我生為男身。
3.我能親近佛教。
4.我能聽聞佛法。
5.我讀好學校。
人為萬物之靈，佛陀有一次抓了一把土，問弟子：「地上的土比我手裡的土還多嗎？」弟子們回答：「是的，世尊手裡的土當然比地上的土少。」佛又說：「我手裡的土如得到人身的眾生，因為那些土很少，所以人身是很難得的。」今生我得到了人身，因此我很快樂。
每一尊佛，都是從兜率內院降生人間作王子，然後出家修行成為比丘，最後於菩提樹下成佛，所以成佛一定是要男身才能成佛的。我可以生為男人，所以我很快樂。在全世界中，很少人有好機會親近佛教，現在我每天生活在佛教道場，因此我很快樂。很多人聽聞不到佛法，有的需要走幾千里路才能聽到開示，我很幸運可以每天聽經聞法，所以我很快樂。
好多孩子上學，但是他們讀的學校不教人怎麼孝順父母，恭敬師長，修養品德，今日我能在一個好學校讀書，教我這些道理。我也得到好老師、好父母、好朋友，因此我很快樂。
因為這五個因素，所以我很快樂。人需要很多福報才能得到這些利益，現在我很幸福，都得到了，所以我很感謝佛菩薩及師父上人的加被。阿彌陀佛！

Venerable Master, Dharma Masters, all teachers, and all
good knowing advisors, Amitabha.
I am a fourth grader from Instilling Goodness Elementary
School. My name is Qin Zhi, and my Dharma name is Gwo Zhi.
My topic tonight is: "Am I Happy?"
Am I happy? I am very happy. But I am happy not because
of small happinesses like: playing games, watching TV, and
eating fine food. Those kinds of happiness are not real.
Real happiness is the happiness that comes from the mind.
I am happy because:
1) I have been born as a person.
2) I have been born as a man.
3) I can draw near to Buddhism.
4) I can hear the Dharma.
5) I can study in a good school.
People are the most intelligent of the myriad beings, The
Buddha once held some dirt in his hand, and then asked his
disciples, "Is the dirt on the ground more than the dirt in
my hand"? The disciples answered, "Yes. The dirt in the
World Honored One's palm is definitely less than the dirt on
the ground." The Buddha said, "The dirt in my hand is like
those beings that have obtained a human body, because the
dirt in my hand is very little, so, the body of a human is
very hard to obtain." This life, I can be born as a human,
so I am happy.
Each and every Buddha comes from the Tushita Heaven's
inner palace into this world, and is born as a prince. After
that, he leaves home and cultivates, becomes a Bhikshu, and
lastly, becomes a Buddha under the Bodhi Tree. Because of
this, a person has to have a man's body in order to become a
Buddha. This life I have been able to be born as a man, so I
am very happy. In the whole world, very few people have the
good chance to draw near to Buddhism. Now I can spend my
daily life in a Way-place. Because of this I am very happy.
Many people have not heard the Buddha-dharma. Some have to
travel thousands of miles in order to hear a Dharma lecture.
I am very lucky that I can hear explanations of the sutras
and listen to the Dharma everyday. Because of this, I am
happy.
A lot of children go to school, but those schools do not
teach them how to be filial to their parents, be respectful
to their elders, and how to perfect their virtues. Now I
have been able to enroll in a school that teaches me these
principles. I also have good teachers, good parents, and
good friends. Because of this, I am very happy.
It is because of these five conditions that I am happy.
People need a lot of blessings to obtain these benefits. Now
that I have gained them, I must thank the Buddhas, the
Bodhisattvas, and the Venerable Master for helping me.
