十九歲時，一場車禍毀了我的健康，接著病患連連，過了十年辛酸歲月。廿九歲始接觸到佛法，方知人身種種病痛乃為業障所引起。遂開始學著念佛拜佛
，並供養三寶，布施種福，以期早日消除業障。
一九八八年，上人回台舉行護國息災法會，當時從未聞知上人名，卻也打點行李，從桃園一路跟至台中、台南、高雄，並皈依上人，得法名果珠，又至機場送上人回國。此後上人連續三年回臺，我也年年如是跟著上人的弘法團跑，竟然從中也到了些許的法味。一九九0年，萬佛聖城舉行水陸空大法會，又來到了聖城，並受了菩薩戒，住了四十五天。
一九九二年，有幸又跟隨弘法團飛往東南亞，為期一個半月，拜了萬佛寶懺。再接著是師父的荼毘大典，水陸法會，弟子每每與會，至目前為止前後已來聖城七次矣！除了上人荼毘那回，可說是次次法喜充滿，年年滿載而歸。
回想起來，許是弟子與上人緣深，才有這麼大的福報，得以多次跟隨上人，並來聖域進修，從中體會到上人的法，及上人的六大宗旨，讓我深切地體驗到聖城實在是修行的好道場。
如果說這幾年下來，要有甚麼，心得的話，就是一句話：「佛事一一『做』就沒有錯！」您從力行中自會得到無盡的法寶，這是我要送您的一句話。

 Ever since my health was ruined by a car accident at the
age of nineteen, I was sick with one thing or another
for the next ten years. It was only when I came in
contact with Buddhism at the age of twenty-nine that I
realized that all illness and pain are brought on by
karmic obstacles. I learned to recite the Buddha's name,
bow to the Buddha, and make offerings to the Triple
Jewel to plant blessings and get rid of my karmic
obstacles.
The Venerable Master went to Taiwan
in 1988 to host the Ceremony for Protecting the Nation
and Quelling Disasters. Although I had not heard of the
Master before, for some reason I packed my bags and
followed him all the way from Taoyuan to Taichung,
Tainan, and Kaohsiung. I also took refuge with the
Master and received the Dharma-name Gwo Zhu, and I was
at the airport to see the Master off. The Master
returned to Taiwan three years in a row, and every year
I followed him as he traveled around propagating Dharma.
From this experience I got a taste of the Dharma. In
1990, I came to the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas (CTTB)
to attend the Water-Land-Air Dharma Assembly. I received
the Bodhisattva precepts and stayed here for 45 days.
In 1992 I had the fortune of joining
the Dharma delegation on a month-and-a-half- long tour
of Southeast Asia, which included the Jeweled Repentance
before 10,000 Buddhas. I also came to CTTB for the
Venerable Master's Cremation Ceremony, and then for
another Water-Land-Air Dharma Assembly. Up to now, I
have made seven trips to the City of Ten Thousand
Buddhas. With the exception of the Master's Cremation
Ceremony, I have been filled with the joy of Dharma on
every trip.
In retrospect, I think I must have
affinities with the Master, allowing me to follow him
and come to the City to cultivate so many times. In the
midst of this I have come to understand the Master's
Dharma and his Six Guidelines, and I have come to
realize what a good place for cultivation CTTB is.
If I were to sum up what I've learned
in these past several years, I would say, "In doing the
work of Buddhism, as long as you do it, you can't go
wrong." Through actual practice, you obtain infinite
Dharma treasures. These words are my gift to everyone.
