What Have I Learned?

My Perfect World

My perfect world would be peaceful and bright. People would also not kill other people or anything. My world wouldn't have any gangs or people like that in it. They are most likely to kill someone. I also want no drive by shootings. My brother got shot at 5 times, but he did not get hurt. He lives in San Francisco.

My world would have no people vandalizing other people's property. When people spray paint walls or buildings it makes the place look ugly. There world be no pollution to mess up the ozone layer. I want this world to last.

I want the homeless to not be homeless. I am sad when I see people without food or shelter. In Somalia, people are starving to death, which makes me even sadder. I hope when we send troops over there that the food gets to the starving people.

I also would have no drugs in my world. Drugs are bad. They mess up your body and your brain. I would have them vanish from my world.

How I Can Help The World

I could help the world and the people in it by being a volunteer at a Rest Home for old people or be a Candy Striper, which helps old people.

I could also help pick up any litter I see on the side of the road. I would not litter myself. If I saw someone litter I could tell them it is not good to litter. It makes the world look ugly.

I could also try not to waste food. I should only take as much as I can eat. The poor Somalia people are starving. That is why I would not waste food.

I could also recycle. I know that recycling is good because it does not affect the ozone layer and not so many trees have to be cut down. I could also use papercups and plates so I could recycle them. I should also not use Styrofoam because I cannot recycle it. I should also not burn it because it affects the ozone layer, and I know everybody needs the ozone layer. I could also only use hair spray and other things that don't affect the ozone layer. I could also reduce garbage by buying reusable things. I could also cut back on how much stuff I use, lights and electrical stuff. I could watch how much paper I have and use.

Goals For the Future

There will always be some changes in the world and there will be changes in one's mind. What ever I plan to do in the future might change too. I am determined to do a few things (and I hope it will stay that way).

First I must help my parents as much as possible. I just know there is no way I can repay them for their kindness. Even now (when I am young) I repay them a little by not arguing with my sister (which my parents had always wished to happen) and studying and concentrating more on my work. This is only a very small favor compared to my parents' work. I appreciate them a lot.

My second goal is to leave the home life. By doing this I can accomplish many things. Life is useless if one spends it on wrong things. I can one day even get rid of hatred, greed, and anger. To me that is more wonderful than the rarest mineral on earth.

Pure Land

As the cool breeze blew, the clouds parted and the sun shone brightly. Below the people were treating animals just like themselves. Everybody was kind, loving, and gentle. They were all vegetarian, even the tigers! There were no crimes, so there weren't any policemen, jails, or courts. Money wasn't even involved in this land and that is why there is no greed, jealousy, or anger. People and animals share everything with each other. Nobody is poor or homeless here. It is so peaceful and happy, but this dream may never come true so quickly. All living beings would be very satisfied if they could live in such a place. I know I would.

Way Out West

Way out West there is a land called the Land of Ultimate Bliss. Why is it called that? The answer is—because every living being there is happy! Nobody's even heard of the words "birth," "old age," "sickness," " death"! Isn't that wonderful! And the birds there actually talk! How surprising it would be if a peacock went up to you and said "Good morning"! I ould be speechless with surprise. Wouldn't you? And the people are born out of lotuses! Also they live in comfort and happiness! I would love to be born there. Wouldn't you?
