【紐約訊】紐約的佛教團體，將於五月二十三日慶祝世界性浴佛節，並且在紐約第五大道舉行空前大遊行。據美國佛教研究所公關何可人稱，自一八三五年第五大道成了愛爾蘭人慶祝移民六十週年後，每年都在紐約民鐵吾第五大道舉行數次大遊行。第五大道成了各種族、宗教、政治等團體主要的活動中心，但對於佛教界尚數首次。

(New York) The New York Buddhist Association will host an international Buddha's Birthday Festival on May 23. A parade will be held on Fifth Avenue for the first time. According to Mr. Ho Ke-ren, the public relations officer of the American Buddhist Study Institute, ever since the Irish celebrated the 60th Anniversary of their Immigration on Fifth Avenue in 1835, each year there have been several parades at the New York Civilian Railway of Fifth Avenue, which has become a major activity center for various ethnic, religious and political groups. For the Buddhists, this will be a first time.
