(Announcement) The Sagely City of Ten Thousand Buddhas conducted a one-week Vigorous Buddha's Recitation Session from December 19th to the 25th. Participants were restricted from talking, reading newspapers and magazines, using the telephone, receiving or sending letters, and seeing visitors. There were many participants, in spite of the extremely strict regulations. They were all required to uphold the Eight Vegetarian Precepts and be present at all seven incense periods of reciting the Buddha's name. They were also required to complete one thousand bows each day. (Those over sixty-years old were allowed to bow in a sitting or kneeling position, or could recite the Buddha's name twenty thousand times in place of bowing.) Everyone single-mindedly worked towards the Way. Even resting periods were spent in diligent effort to bow and recite. These conditions caused the atmosphere in the Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall to be filled with peace and serenity.

On the last day of the Recitation Session, the Venerable Master asked for responses from the participants regarding to the Session. Many people were filled with faith and inconceivable states as a result of the Vigorous Buddha's Recitation Session.
