NAMES THREE NEW ADMINISTRATORS

   

      Renowned sculpture and environmental designer Yang Ying-feng arrived in America in mid-April to undertake what he calls the "major cultural contribution of his life" as director of the artistic and environmental development of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, and Dean of the School of Creative and Applied Arts, Dharma Realm Buddhist University. Upasaka Yang, age 60, has just completeed a commission from the Government of Saudi Arabia to design public parks and environments for public housing. Upasaka Yang's accomplishments include the design of the environment and major sculpture for the republic of China's exhibitions at the Spokane World Fair in 1974 and the Osaka World Fair in 1970.
Professor C.S. Liu who has been named Director of Administration for the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas, resides at the City with his wife, Dr. Grace Liu, M.D. and acupuncturist. Professor Liu, who led a citizen's group to renovate the war gutted national University Hospital in Taipei in the early 60's, is also renowned photographer as well as a poet. In addition to his Administrative duties, he will teach at Dharma Realm Buddhist University.
      Dr. Grace Liu will open an acupuncture clinic at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas hospital in May, 1977. With M.D. in Western medicine and twenty seven years experience in Taiwan public hospitals, Dr. Liu will combine the best of Western and Eastern healing methods. She is certified to practice acupuncture in the state of California and plans to teach a course on acupuncture at Dharma Realm Buddhist University commencing in May. Dr. Liu has been named director of the proposed convalescent home to be established at the city of the near future.
