上人的背後，是六位新的出家眾。 |
|
Shown standing behind the Master are six new Sangha members:
|
|
|
|
|
（一）恒福（果滿），站在上人的正後方。她是香港佛教講堂的捐贈人。 |
|
1. Heng Fu (‘Blessings’), Guo Man, the donor of the Hong Kong Buddhist Lecture Hall [standing directly behind the Master];
|
|
|
|
|
（二）恒斧，三位站著的出家男眾當中，他是中間的那一位。他出家以前，有一次去訪問上
人時，在紙袋裡裝了一把斧頭。上人的隨從弟子並不知道，直到上人親自叫他把紙袋
打開，斧頭才露出來。
|
|
2. Heng Fu (‘Ax’), who as a layman went to an interview with the Master carrying an ax in a paper bag--a fact that went unnoticed by the Master’s attending disciples until the Master himself asked that the bag be opened and its contents revealed [middle of three standing monks];
|
|
|
|
|
（三）恒珍，在恒福的左邊。她將《宣化上人事蹟》及《阿彌陀經》翻譯成西班牙文。 |
|
3. Heng Chen (‘Precious’), who translated the Master’s biography and the Amitabha Sutra into Spanish [beside Heng Fu/Guo Man];
|
|
|
|
|
（四）恒空，他是照片中個子最高的一位。他打了七十二天的餓七。曾經有一段時期，他每
天持誦八小時的〈楞嚴咒〉。他可以雙跏趺坐十二小時以上。
|
|
4. Heng Kung (‘Empty’), who fasted for seventy-two days, recited the Shurangama Mantra eight hours a day for a period of time, and could meditate for more than twelve hours at a stretch without breaking his full lotus posture [the tallest one in the photo];

（五）恒祿，他是三藩市一位商人的獨生子。 |
|
5. Heng Lu (‘Prosperity’), the only son of a businessman in San Francisco; and
|
|
|
|
|
（六）恒沈，來自南非的一位年輕女士。 |
|
6. Heng Chen (‘Heavy’), a young woman from South Africa.
|
