Sweet Soup of Assorted Nuts

  • Ingredients:
Lotus seeds 6 oz
Lily seeds 3 oz
Cashews 6 oz
Gingko seeds 6 oz
Peanuts 3 oz
Rock candy some
 
  • Directions:

    Bring the water to a boil, then add lotus seeds, lily seeds, cashews, gingko seeds, and peanuts. Simmer for two hours on low fire. Add rock candy at the end.

  • Explanation:

    Carbohydrates, fat, protein, minerals, water and air are essential nutrients for sustaining life. Carbohydrates aid growth, fat provides energy, minerals fortify the bones, protein are needed in tissue formation, and to make the body resistant to illness.
